LED Light Therapy
and Acne Solutions
LED stands for light-emitting diode. It is a natural and completely non-invasive treatment for all ages, skin types and tones. It was originally developed by NASA for plant growth experiments in space. LED has been shown to deliver energy into the skin’s cells to boost collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, with results in wound healing and human tissue growth. The various wavelengths of light penetrate the skin at different depths, and are delivered at therapeutic doses that will trigger biological processes to help the skin rejuvenate and heal.
Acne is a common skin condition that affects most people at some point, causing spots, oily skin and sometimes painful skin. It occurs when your hair follicles become blocked with oil and dead skin cells, usually appearing on the face, chest and back. It is a multifactorial condition, meaning that many factors play a role in the development of acne.
This course will teach you about different types of acne and how to treat them as well as to treat acne scarring
Dermaplaning is a method of exfoliation that gently scrapes off the top layer of dulling dead skin cells in order to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion and the vellus hair removed, does NOT grow back thicker. Dermaplaning Treatments are recommended every 4 weeks and are a favourite in the entertainment industry, specifically among models and actresses. Why? It also eliminates that annoying peach fuzz that cakes up in makeup and can be enhanced by harsh production lighting and high-definition cameras.
Dermaplaning also allows for greater penetration of skincare products and creates a flawless canvas for makeup to glide on smoothly. In fact, cosmetic dermatologists often use dermaplaning to help prepare skin for more intrusive procedures such as chemical peels or Microneedling.
This course will also teach you the skills that you need to know about offering professional Dermaplaning treatments. Upon completion of the course, you are a qualified Facial Specialist and can charge anywhere between £65 – £80 per treatment, normally taking around 45min – 1 hour.

This is a great treatment to have in your salon or on your treatment menu as it is quick to do and only a small cost per application. It also compliments other treatments like dermaplaning or can be part of a bespoke skin care program for your clients.
This course will also teach you the skills that you need to offer a professional Skin Peel treatment. Upon completion of the course, you are a qualified Advanced Facial specialist and can charge anywhere between £40 – £50 per treatment, normally taking around 45mins – 1 hour.
Ice Globe +
Crystal Stone Facials
A holistic facial contains similar steps to a regular facial such as cleansing, toning, exfoliating and the application of a face mask, however the holistic approach uses techniques rather than complex and expensive products to achieve great results. The treatment will rejuvenate and nourish, making the skin appear healthier and glowing. It will both stimulate and soothe the nerve endings of the skin. It is a popular treatment in salons and spas to help pamper and relax clients.
Ice globes, also known as cryo globes, are borosilicate glass globes filled with a non-freezing liquid which can be used straight from the fridge or freezer. They are often rolled along the jawline, underneath the cheeks and under the eyes. They are good for holding over cystic breakouts to reduce inflammation from the cool temperature. The globes are a tool to enhance both in salon and home treatments by improving long term skin quality with regular use.
High frequency is used within facial treatments by professionals to help treat and prevent acne, shrink enlarged pores, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, fade pigmentation and promote healthier hair growth. It has been proven to stimulate cell renewal and improve the penetration of skin care products by gently warming the tissues of the skin.
A vacuum suction facial is an electrical lymphatic drainage treatment usually combined with a basic or holistic facial. A general facial is performed including a cleanse, exfoliation, creams and mask and then followed by oil which allows the handpiece to glide.
A galvanic facial is a cosmetic electrotherapy treatment for the skin that utilises direct current to produce a chemical change in the tissues of the skin by reacting with sodium chloride.
Galvanic desincrustation is a process that softens and emulsifies sebum and keratin in the follicle, best suited for oily and congested skins.
Iontophoresis technique encourages active anti-aging, hydrating and/or pigment-controlling ingredients deep into the skin where they impact the cells.
Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive skin exfoliation treatment that uses diamond tipped heads or fine alum oxide crystals which are driven by airflow to gently abrade the skin. It produces immediate results through a speedy procedure that will remove the dead skin cells, and at the same time will gently vacuum up the dead skin cells into a filter to eliminate cross contamination. Collagen, elastin and fibroblasts are stimulated within the treatment as well as cell renewal which overall rejuvenates and enhances the skins appearance.
Hydra-dermabrasion is a dermatological procedure which combines the infusion of medicinal products and crystal-free exfoliation (opposite to microdermabrasion). It is a custom water treatment that distributes moisture, peptides and serums to the epidermis and dermis layers to exfoliate and increase hydration. Antioxidants used in this procedure will hydrate and decrease inflammation within the skin, reverse photo damage, remove impurities from the pores and protect lipid membranes, collagen fibres and enzyme systems. Results can be seen immediately with this treatment.
A hydra-dermabrasion procedure is similar to a microdermabrasion treatment in the way that it can be used to treat multiple skin concerns. Microdermabrasion is often better suited to clients with deep scarring and skin damage. Whereas the hydra-dermabrasion offers more refreshed and glowing skin as it increases the blood flow
