This course for advanced Female Intimate waxing will teach you the various methods of removing different amounts if not all hair from the intimate area on a female. These advanced techniques are becoming more and more popular especially around the holiday bikini season.
This treatment once mastered can bring your salon to a clientele that would also want multiple areas done so it is advised that the beginners wax course is completed first to help with underpinning knowledge and foundation techniques needed to progress to this advanced level.
Each treatment, if your client is just wanting an intimate wax, will take around 20-40 minutes per treatment. The effects of this will last for up to 6 weeks, as hair will grow back slower after waxing. Upon completion of the course, you can charge anywhere between £15 – £30 depending on what style your client would like.
Threading is a temporary hair removal technique which is used mainly for facial hair removal including eyebrows and upper lip, it can also be carried out on larger areas such as the legs although this is less common. It is a common technique used in Asia and the Far East for centuries, and is becoming more and more popular in the West with threading and brows bars opening up across many countries.
It is a natural method of hair removal using various techniques that have been passed down through generations of family members. These include the hand method, mouth method and neck method. Each technique has advantages and disadvantages; however, we recommend the hand method as a preferred method due to the flexibility and it has more hygienic benefits.
Laser Hair Removal
Laser Hair Removal is the use of a laser to remove or reduce the appearance of hair on the body or face. The laser will emit light to the selected area which will destroy or damage the hair follicle making the hair finer and shorter, overall, this treatment will reduce the appearance of the hair, but clients may need a course of treatments to remove their hair altogether.
To achieve the best results, laser hair removal should be performed during the anagen (growing) phase of the hair cycle. Although, each hair will reach this phase at different times, so it is recommended that multiple sessions take place to see the best results. Each person will react differently to this treatment depending on their hair colour and skin tone, but the average person will need around d 6 sessions to see the best effects. Clients will need a break between sessions, we would suggest having this treatment on your face every 4 weeks and 6-week intervals for treatments on the body.
Each treatment will take around 60 minutes or less depending on the area, with around 6-8 sessions to see the best results. Once fully qualified you will be able to charge anywhere between £50 to £500, depending on the requirements of each client.
Sugaring is a form of waxing that will pull the hair from the root with the use of natural ingredients. This treatment is highly recommended to clients who have sensitive skin as the product used to remove hair will only attach to the hair, unlike waxing which will pull the skin when being removed, this method is considered to be less painful than waxing for this reason also. The product is also easier to clean after the treatment, making it an easier experience for both the client and the beautician.
This treatment can be used on any part of the body, including the face and intimate area. The effects will last for 2-3 weeks if it is your client’s first treatment, but if they continue to use this method it will take 3-6 weeks for the hair to grow back after their first few sessions.
Once you have completed your course and are fully qualified, you can charge around £10-£15 for a facial wax. If your client wants a body wax, prices vary from £20-£60 depending on which area sugaring is required on. Many establishments do include sugaring bundles in their price listing, so you may also like to consider this in your pricing.
