Sugaring

Sugaring is a form of waxing that will pull the hair from the root with the use of natural ingredients. This treatment is highly recommended to clients who have sensitive skin as the product used to remove hair will only attach to the hair, unlike waxing which will pull the skin when being removed, this method is considered to be less painful than waxing for this reason also. The product is also easier to clean after the treatment, making it an easier experience for both the client and the beautician.

This treatment can be used on any part of the body, including the face and intimate area. The effects will last for 2-3 weeks if it is your client’s first treatment, but if they continue to use this method it will take 3-6 weeks for the hair to grow back after their first few sessions.

Once you have completed your course and are fully qualified, you can charge around £10-£15 for a facial wax. If your client wants a body wax, prices vary from £20-£60 depending on which area sugaring is required on. Many establishments do include sugaring bundles in their price listing, so you may also like to consider this in your pricing.

Threading is a temporary hair removal technique which is used mainly for facial hair removal including eyebrows and upper lip, it can also be carried out on larger areas such as the legs although this is less common. It is a common technique used in Asia and the Far East for centuries, and is becoming more and more popular in the West with threading and brows bars opening up across many countries.

It is a natural method of hair removal using various techniques that have been passed down through generations of family members. These include the hand method, mouth method and neck method. Each technique has advantages and disadvantages; however, we recommend the hand method as a preferred method due to the flexibility and it has more hygienic benefits.
