What is our Advanced Dermal Filler Course?

Our Advanced Dermal Filler Course will allow the Aesthetic Practitioner to widen their treatment options when using Dermal Fillers. This Advanced Dermal Filler Course will teach you everything you need to know about offering dermal fillers in the cheeks, jaw, and chin. Whilst also covering basic hyaluronidase training so you can safely and effectively handle complications and danger zones.

Dermal filler is made of a substance found naturally in the body that is injected into the skin to fill in lines and wrinkles across the face. Typically lasting between 6-18 months, most dermal fillers use in treatments throughout the UK contain hyaluronic acid. In order to complete our Advanced Course you MUST have a qualification in Foundation Dermal Filler.

How much can you earn from our Advanced Dermal Filler Course?

Treatment prices can start from £150 – £200 per treatment but can increase to several thousand pounds depending on treatment area and skill level.

What does our Advanced Dermal Filler course cover?

This Advanced Dermal Filler Course will teach you the theoretical and practical knowledge you need to start treating your customers straight away. The advanced course will cover more advanced treatment areas and complication management.

Theory includes:

• Anatomy and physiology of the skin
• First Aid – Including CPR and epi pen in anaphylactic shock
• Skin types and signs of ageing
• Hyaluronic Acid structure (HA)
• What is Hyaluronidase?
• When & how to use hyaluronidase
• Identifying complications and danger zones
• Correct protocol for complications
• Pre and Post treatment procedures
• Client consultation protocols inc. Medical History and Client consent
• Managing expectations and complaints procedure
• Treatment area and injection techniques
• Pain management protocols
• Hygiene, sharps disposal and legal aspects

Practical includes:

• Live Demonstrations
• Live Models

Treatment Areas Covered:

• Cheeks
• Jaw
• Chin
• Hyaluronidase Injections

What do pre-requisites do I need to perform this?

As this Advanced Dermal Filler Course utilises injectables, this course is only suitable if you are certified in performing such treatments. You may be certified if you are one of the following:

• Dermal Filler Qualification

This course is an advanced follow up to our Foundation Dermal Filler Course, in order to be insurable when performing this treatment, you MUST have already completed a Dermal Filler Course.

In order to train in Dermal Filler, you must have one of the following qualifications:

• A nurse
• A Doctor of Medicine
• A pharmacist
• A dental nurse
• A paramedic
• An SPMU/Aesthetic Practitioner with 6 months+ or a Learner with the new Level 3 IQ Award.

If none of these roles apply to you, you are still able to qualify by studying our Pathway to Aesthetic online theory course. This is specific for a non-medic looking to gain entry to the aesthetics industry.

Will I be practicing on a live model?

Yes. All courses require you to practice on a live model under the supervision of an experienced tutor. We sell model slots via our website offering the treatment at a discounted rate. If you know someone that would like to model, please let us know and we can book them in. Please note: models will need to meet the necessary pre-requisites before partaking. Who are my trainers?

This Advanced Dermal Filler Course is currently taught by a fully qualified nurse and prescriber. Although all our trainers have 20+ years’ experience within the beauty industry and frequently spend time in our beauty clinics and training academy to ensure their knowledge is up to date.

Does this course come with the relevant kit?

I work full time, can I complete my course during evenings and weekends? 

Yes! This Advanced Dermal Filler Course is available to book for both evening and weekend sessions.

What will my day be like? 

Your Advanced Dermal Filler Course will be at Hampson Training Academy in Tonbridge (unless you have requested one of our other locations). The course will be held over a single day from 10 am until 4 pm. Prior to your arrival, we will have sent you the relevant pre-study questions to complete.

At the academy, your day will start with an overview of the theory element of the course. Following this, you will then be taken through a live demonstration with your tutor, followed by a practical on a live model. Towards the end of your day your tutor will cover aftercare tips and advise you on the best methods to promote your new treatment for your business.

There will be a break for lunch, with food provided. Please let us know if you have any allergies we should be aware of.

What will my qualification be?

You will receive an accredited certificate for our Advanced Dermal Filler Course. This will gain you the necessary insurance to be able to start treating customers. Please see our insurance page for more information on getting insured.
