Our PDO Thread Course will ensure that you are fully qualified to offer this treatment safely and effectively on your menu. PDO Threads are inserted into the dermis layer of the skin to give clients an immediate effective face lift without the need for surgery. These threads will promote the production of collagen and elastin under the skin to create a more youthful look. They typically last around 12 – 18 months before naturally dissolving into the body. This course will cover areas such as the neck, jawline, marionette lines and nasolabial folds.

Please note: This PDO Thread Course does not cover COG Threads, if you would like to qualify in this you are able to in our Advanced PDO and COG Thread Course.

How much could I earn from PDO Threads?

Treatment prices start from around £400; this will last around 30 – 60 minutes to complete. We do suggest researching competitor prices near you or talking to one of our trainers for more advice as prices vary depending on the amount of threads needed and the skill set needed to complete.

What does our PDO Thread Course cover?

This PDO Thread Course will teach you the theoretical and practical knowledge you need to start treating your customers straight away. The PDO Thread Course will cover the relevant knowledge to safely insert the threads into the clients face and cover how to safely perform this treatment.

• What is Polydioxanone?
• Aging Process
• Protocols for covered areas
• Pre and Post treatment procedures
• Client consultation protocols inc. Medical History and Client consent
• Managing expectations and complaints procedure
• Treatment area and injection techniques
• Pain management protocols (common side effects)
• Handling complications
• Aftercare
• Hygiene, sharps disposal and legal aspects

Practical includes:

• Injections Techniques
• Techniques to ensure minimal pain / bruising for your clients.
• Live Demonstrations
• Live Models

What pre-requisites do I need to perform this?

This PDO Thread Course is available for medics and non-medics with the following experience:

• A nurse
• A Doctor of Medicine
• A pharmacist
• A dental nurse
• A paramedic
• Level 3 Beauty Qualification
• An Aesthetic Practitioner with 12 months experience.
• Qualified in our entry level theory course Pathway to Aesthetics.

You can also qualify by studying a beauty treatment such as Microblading or Microneedling.

Will I be practicing on a live model?

Yes. All courses require you to practice on a live model under the supervision of an experienced tutor. We sell model slots via our website offering the treatment at a discounted rate. If you know someone that would like to model, please let us know and we can book them in.

Who are my trainers?

All our trainers have 20+ years’ experience within the beauty industry and frequently spend time in our beauty clinics and training academy to ensure their knowledge is up to date.

Does this course come with the relevant kit?

I work full time, can I complete my course during evenings and weekends?

Yes! This PDO Thread Course is available to book for both evening and weekend sessions.

What will my day be like?

Your course will be at Hampson Training Academy in Tonbridge (unless you have requested one of our other locations). Prior to your arrival, we will have sent you the relevant pre-study questions to complete.

At the academy, your day will start with an overview of the theory element of the course. Following this, you will then be taken through a live demonstration with your tutor, followed by a practical on a live model. Towards the end of your day your tutor will cover aftercare tips and advise you on the best methods to promote your new treatment for your business.

There will be a break for lunch, with food provided. Please let us know if you have any allergies we should be aware of.

What will my qualification be?

You will receive an accredited certificate for our PDO Thread Course. This will gain you the necessary insurance to be able to start treating customers. Please see our insurance page for more information on getting insured.
